So Im writing this on our last day at the Samabe and its with a sad face for sure.
The second week has flown, as it always does.
The Devdan show was spectacular. Lovely music, great dancing, magic, comedy, monkeys, acrobatics. Its well worth a visit if you are in Bali!
Saturday we had a lazy day with massages at 10am then nothing. We just lazed in the sun for the day. We ate lunch in the villa, I had the Lobster and Crab roll - scrummy!!
In the evening, we ate out at the Rempah Rempah - I had prawn phad thai - Mmm mmm and Tony has Samabe Special again - he was very keen on that dish.
Sunday was a desginated no plans day - no clock watching. We just lazed the whole day, eating at the villa for lunch and then we ate in the room, simple food as our stomachs were feeling it, Tony has steak and potatoes and I had a Nasi Goreng and I had banana fritters with icecream for pudding. We opened a bottle of Balinese white to go with it.
Monday, we booked...
Destinations Far and Wide
So this year is a big year with our 10th Wedding Anniversary plans but then we were very lucky to gain a scoop from PPI so Tony really needing a holiday and after last year in Kao Lak, we shopped around for the perfect holiday.
Seychelles was no. 1 option but our perfect room was not available so then we looked again at Bali and found a great deal, all inclusive, private pool, huge room. That was it - 1 week before our away date we were sorted.
So now here I am writing to you sitting on our verandah in Nusa Dua in Bali.

Luckily on the next flight we had a 3 seat bank to ourselves so were able to spread out a bit. Makes such a difference.
We booked 15 nights and its worked out really well. We arrived at 1900hrs at the hotel on the Thursday and had some indonesian...
We saw Muse in Wembley a few years back and the concert was amazing, but the seats were pretty crap so this time when we heard they were playing live again, we decided to avoid London and try something different so we booked seats at the Mediolarum Forum in Milan.
We had the tickets for ages and suddenly Mid May arrived and we flew to Milan for the weekend.
The flight was easy - from Heathrow - we did a deal with the Hotel Tony stays at so we didnt have to pay for parking.
We got a taxi from Malpensa Airport and the taxi driver was not good, he decided to pull a fast one and drove us round the houses, through some really grotty areas and what should have been a 50 Euro trip ended up being 70 Euros, his excuse - he was avoiding the traffic.
The Hotel was a Raddisson, we were using our points and it was very nice! We had a business class room so lots of space, big bed and the bathroom was almost in a second part of the room with a big shower, nice bath and a bid...
