This year is 20 years since I moved to Croydon.  Cant believe it. So guess its fitting that we are finally moving - who would have thought it would take so long!! We have had some stresses along the way - our Conveyancer is a monkey even though we arent paying peanuts.  Last time we moved we used an online company so we thought we would get a better service paying a bit more, but it seems they are all as bad as each other. Anyway - as of today we have exchanged and we move next week.  Cant believe it. Im in the throes of packing which is fun and at least now we have a few more days to pack so the pressure is a bit relieved.  Downside, I want to get on with it, but cant as we still have to live here for a week. I guess now I have a bit more time I have to mow the garden though. !!! Have done a fair bit of freegling which is good - feel quite lightened when things get taken LOL. So its suddenly March, cant believe the year is going so quickly. Its been a very strange start to the year - such highs and lows! Early Jan, we had a call from Streets Ahead, one of the viewers from last year who had put an offer on the house before, was now back with a higher offer, but it was still low in our view.  We were about to think about putting the house back on the market and neither of us were relishing the idea so we weighed up what it was worth in time and effort and decided to accept the offer! So suddenly we needed to start house hunting for real. I had a number of properties on my short(long) list so we analysed and narrowed down so that I had about 6 to see in the Kings Lynn area and another 8 to see in the Boston area.  I drove up on a Weds afternoon with viewings booked for Thurs and Friday with the plan to set up 2nd viewings for Tony to see on the weekend. Hmm its my usual annual retrospective and its been an odd year this one. The start of the year provided some sad news re a lovely friend which hit me like a curve ball, but spurred me to get my health checked out.  Found out a few things I didnt know and started on the road to getting me fixed. Then in March I was made redundant - yes again!  It was a sad time as said goodbye to a great boss - yes again!  But was also a horrible time as found out a lot about the people I had been working with for over 6 years. Started working with Tony in his business - Media219 Ltd and havent looked back.  Am working from home which I am enjoying and although I miss meeting up with people, I really do not miss the commute.  Have developed the company website, which spurred off into a few other websites for clients and have just finished an Online Book Store.   Both sites, I am really proud of.  Learnt loads as I have gone along and am really enjoying PHP and Javascript....
