Im struggling with 2018 - its been a year of ups and downs and still a couple of days to go.

January - I had my third eye operation.  Not a fun start to a New Year.

February - we had the oil tank finally sorted and it looks good and works well.  Now we are bunded!

March - we had had problems with the old rendering leaking so had the whole house re-rendered - it looks very different and is now blue not white, but we did have fun with the guys doing the rendering being caught on our cctv doing wees.  Silly fools.

We also went to see Steve Wilson at the Royal Albert Hall, I didnt know his music as well as T did, but I really enjoyed it.

April - was a quiet month except we did 2 shows in a day - All About Dogs then the National Camper and Motorhome Show - both were a bit of an eye opener and it was a very hot day!

May - I met up with Lesley and Clare in St Albans which was lovely and great to reminise.
Later in the month we went to see Chess in Londo...

2017 - a Very Strange Year

2017 was our 10th Wedding Anniversary Year and we had a lot planned

Instead of doing a big holiday, we decided to do 10 events on stage.

The first one was in April - we went to see Carousel at the Colluseum with Alfie Boe and Katherine Jenkins.  I was actually pleased to find out that Katherine wasnt in it and I think it worked better with the understudy.

Our luck came in as well with a payment for PPI which helped with the plans we had for the year.

In mid May we took an amazing trip to Bali, our second visit, but this time it was very luxury.  We had our own pool and an amazing suite.  The Samabe Villas - Ive written about it in my travel section.

On our return on the 3rd June we went to see The Piano Guys at the Ro...

Dad said I was very stoical about it all, but that isnt really the case.  I spent quite a lot of today crying.

It started on Friday of August Bank Holiday last year.  I was in Peterborough waiting for my car to be serviced and I noticed a large floater in my left eye.

Id had a floater in my eye for years, but a few weeks before that Friday I noticed a small different one hanging around.  I didnt worry about it, but suddenly on that Friday there was a big one in my central vision.

I didnt worry about it too much at first and went about my day, but on the way back from Peterborough, it started to concern me so I decided to pop to Spec Savers in Spalding.

I went to reception and explained that I had a large floater that concerned me.  I was told that they had no appointments available and to come back on Tuesday after Bank Holiday.

I was shocked that they couldnt even get someone to talk to me briefly and so left to go to another Opticians.

They we...
